NCIS: MissionStakeout is a Proboards RPG based on the television show NCIS.
The Case So Far:
A marine, Second Lieutenant Alexander "Alex" Orton, thirty two years old, 6'2, dark brown hair and brown eyes, has been found dead in the basement of a disused warehouse in downtown DC.
Alex was shot through the head after being drugged, overpowered and locked in the small dark room.
The killing is straight-forward execution style - a hood was placed over Alex' head and a bullet was shot straight through his brain.
NCIS have been called in to investigate the death of the officer, and Gibbs' team has been assigned to the case.

- Ron Sacks
Rank: FBI Special Agent
Sacks is the FBI equivalent of NCIS Agent Anthony DiNozzo. His sense of humor, natural disregard for policy, fierce love of his job, and being a slight 'movie-buff' all contribute to making him the near perfect image (and, thus, natural enemy) of DiNozzo. Sacks' name is often parodied by DiNozzo who calls him "Special Agent Slacks".
Tony also harbours a resentment for Agent Sacks as he was the leading investigator in the case where Agent DiNozzo was framed for murder. Tony and Sacks also both enjoy making life difficult for each other.

[/li][li]Mike Franks
Retired NCIS Agent Mike Franks is Gibbs' former mentor and partner, still referring to Gibbs as "Probie" (as DiNozzo still does with McGee). A Vietnam veteran, he was the leading agent on the investigation of the murder of Gibbs' first wife and his daughter. Gibbs, who was then a marine Gunnery Sergeant in Operation Desert Storm, joined the NIS shortly afterwards to prevent such things from happening again. Franks also allowed Gibbs (indirectly by leaving the suspects file on his desk) to act out his private revenge. Gibbs used his training and skills to assassinate the killer of his family in South America.
Franks retired from NCIS and moved to Mexico after his superiors refused to follow his advice, a mistake which led to the Khobar Towers bombing. Franks was shocked by his superiors' blatant display of carelessness and lost his trust in the government. He handed his badge and weapon to Gibbs, who thus took over his mentor's job.

Following Gibbs' return early on in the season she was transferred to the legal department and is frequently seen delivering warrants to the team. She is also a Harvard Law School graduate. When series creator Donald Bellisario was asked by Australian magazine TV Week where their relationship was going, he said it wasn't a relationship, just sex.

[/li][li]Jimmy Palmer
Mr. Palmer is Dr. Mallard's medical assistant both in the field and in the morgue. Jimmy is frequently late in arrival and chronically nervous, but very proficient in his field of study. He is also particularly clueless when it comes to women.
Palmer apparently wasn't particularly well off when he was younger, as he mentions living in an apartment block with his mother, and his high school not offering Greek (as opposed to Ducky's privileged upbringing). He is also very friendly and prone to talking about subjects not related to the subject matter (ala Ducky), however the team is less patient with Jimmy.

[/li][li]Tobias Fornell
Rank: Senior Special Agent, FBI
Fornell is a Senior FBI Special Agent who is often involved in "inter-agency turf wars" with Gibbs' NCIS team.
Fornell was once framed for being a Mob informant, when investigators found money in his freezer. In an attempt to throw the real informant off, he faked his death, making it appear that he hanged himself in his cell.
He and Gibbs consider each other very good friends, despite their arch-rival business association. The two frequently pretend to be angry at each other in front of their agents, only to meet in an elevator and talk.

[/li][li]Tony DiNozzo
Rank: Senior Special Agent (NCIS)
former Detective (BPD)
Anthony DiNozzo is a streetwise former homicide detective. He is well known for his constant flirtation with nearly every woman he encounters. Some may consider his behavior to be borderline chauvinistic and he is not a respecter of boundaries, thinking nothing of rifling through his colleagues' possessions and confidential information if he thinks this could be used as a source of amusement (for example, downloading details from a colleague's personal organizer without permission). He has an expensive taste in clothing evidenced by his love for designer names, particularly Ermenegildo Zegna. Though he is currently in his mid 30s, he typically shows teenage behavior. He is considered to be very loyal to his co-workers at NCIS, particularly his supervisor, Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Tony delights in quoting movies in everyday life, often finding parallels between them and current situations. He often mimics the original actor when quoting them, such as Sean Connery's James Bond.

[/li][li]Leroy Jethro Gibbs
Rank: Supervisory Special Agent (NCIS)
Gunnery Sergeant (USMC)
An experienced former U.S. Marine Scout Sniper who served in Operation Just Cause and Operation Desert Storm and reached the rank of Gunnery Sergeant, Agent Gibbs is a highly skilled investigator and interrogator endowed with virtually infallible intuition. He uses these skills to his advantage while working on a case. He also tends to think out of the command structure if that helps him.

[/li][li]Cynthia Sumner
Cynthia Sumner is NCIS Director Jenny Shepard's assistant and receptionist.
Sumner is often seen telling Jethro Gibbs to wait to see Director Shepard, but he frequently disregards her warnings and continues into the director's office

[/li][li]Jeanne Benoit
Rank: Doctor
Jeanne Benoit is a doctor at the Monroe University Hospital.
Her mother, Helen Berkley, is also a doctor.
It has been revealed that her father was the notorious arms dealer "La Grenouille", now deceased.
She was previously engaged to Metro Police Detective John Carson. She called off the engagement when she found out he had cheated on her with her best friend.
She also dated Tony DiNozzo for a while, but left him after she learnt that Tony had been lying to her about his being a college professor, as part of an undercover assignment targeting her father "La Grenouille" as part of the CIA operation LODESTONE.
She left Monroe University Hospital while telling the ER staff there that she would be "going away for a few days" and wrote a letter to Tony telling him she would not be coming back to Washington.
Now though, she has retuned to the city, and reclaimed her post at the hospital.
She and Tony are no longer dating.
