Katherine the Herbalist's Shop.Location : Terim Near to the west of Terim, there a small shop that used to belong to Angela the Herbalist, but now has been passed down to Katherine. The shop sells all kinds of herbal medicines and a variety of potions, but none of them are guaranteed to work, but they are all guaranteed to be safe! So if you buy something and it doesn't work, well, you've been warned!! The shop doesn't only sell potions and medicines though, The previous owner Angela used to do a bit of fortune telling in here as well, though most of it was through a Crystal ball and all show, though, she did also of knuckle bones of a dragon, and they never lie, though, the bones are only cast when someone with a promising future, or someone either of the witches find worthy enough.

Her heart was racing. The pain was unbearable and only a few feet more would get her to safety. Terwynn saw the shop in front of her. Getting into Tierm was difficult enough. She needed to hide her wound and pain in order to convince the guard she wasn't being followed. Thankfully she wasn't, for she mastered outrunning those she stole from. The fact was they didn't need all the gold they carried. Some people were stupid and only thought of money.
Terwynn panted, the shop getting closer. The blood seeping from her side was oozing and sticky. She needed needle, thread and a potion to prevent infection. For the time being, the leaves she placed above the knife gash on the left side of her torso were blocking the blood enough for the time being. Now she was there. The blood smelled like rust and salt, not a strange smell to her. She had been wounded before because of her carelessness throughout the years. This time, while attempting to steal a coin purse from a wealthy man near The Spine, she was stabbed by a knife he held in a seethe in his boot. She was being careless at that point, for she allowed her stupidity to get in the way; a rare occurrence.
Pushing the door open, the bell rang. Terwynn grabbed the coin purse she stole several hours prior. "Hello!!" she said loudly. The pain was unbearable at this point and her energy was draining quickly. The blood was dry in her hand as she pressed the wound tighter. She swallowed, allowing her energy to gather.

Katherine sat cross legged in the backroom of the shop, humming along quietly as she looked at the small bowl in front of her, adding things in occasionally, and watching them sometimes change colour. In Katherine's lap was a small notebook, in which she was furiously scribbling down notes, as soon as a change, or anything unusual that caught her eye occurred in the bowl. Katherine bit her lip as concentration took over her face, when she heard the bell on the enterance of the shop ring and a loud 'Hello' echoed around the small store. Katherine bit her lip before she got up rolling her eyes slightly, as she put her notepad aside and skipped outside.
"How may I hel-" Katherine cut herself short in mid sentance when she caught they eye of a dark haired girl, slightly younger than herself, standing near the door clutching her torso on her left side, with dry blood over her hands. Katherine blinked at the girl "Which unseen paths have been befalling you!?" she asked incredulously. Katherine rushed past the small table that separated her from the girl, though Katherine didn't go to the girl, she looked around wildly for a small bottle filled with mushy brown paste, before she turned around to look at the girl "Now sit yourself down, and let me heal you before you loose any more blood, and drop here like a defenseless rat!"

Seeing the witch, made Terwynn sigh in relief. She didn't want to steal from the woman for the thief was a better person than that. The witch began to bark orders and ask questions, niether of which Terwynn was happy with. Grabbing the bag of coins in her hand and throwing them to the table, she gritted her teeth in the slight stab of pain. "I just need a needle and thread," she replied forcefully.
She observed the witch from the corner of her eye as she searched frantically for something. "Just give me the potion and substances I asked for," she said through gritted teeth. Terwynn wasn't one to seek for help. Being alone and fending for herself for so long, scarred her and formed her into the loner she was. Curse that old man, she said to the Gods. May his greed aid his demise.

Katherine raised her eyebrows at the girl. "Seems like you are un-aware of the word respect my dear." Katherine muttered letting out a humour less laugh. Her eyebrows remained raised as she looked at the bag of coins that had been thrown onto the table. "You do not just enter my store, and bark orders at me. Sending you out this instant is being considered strongly by my mind." Katherine muttered, her voice tone changing to a hiss, She wasn't one to take any sort of nonsense from anyone. "But I wouldn't do that..." Katherine said, slowly walking behind the table towards the rack where all sorts of bits and bobs lay. Katherine picked out a thread and a needle from the shelf, as she silently placed it onto the table.
Kate sighed, she didn't like that attitude of the girl one bit, though Katherine was used to this treatment, seeing a lot of travelers who had not the knowledge of the word Respect and Gratitude wandered into the store barking for what they desired. "Now what potions do you desire young one?" Katherine muttered her voice getting cold. She glued her eyes upon the girls face, the usual twinkle in her eyes, disappearing.

Terwynn sighed, her frustration increasing more and more. "I apologize for my bluntness," she said still gritting her teeth. The another the pain was pulsing, and when she breathed it only made it ache more. She wasn't a rude person, however when someone wanted to take matters into their own hands, like Terwynn's wound, she felt as if her territory was being violated. She didn't like any strangers near her or when acted extremely kind for no reason. People were more deceptive than honest in her experience.
She sighed again, this time in thanks when given the needle and thread. She then looked back to Katherine and bit her lip. "I... I need," her energy was decreasing rapidly. "I need a potion to prevent infection please." This time her voice was softer however still have a sense of dominance within it. Her head was getting lighter, she knew what was happening. Need to stitch this up, she said in her head. Loosing too much blood. Being as strong as she was, Terwynn forced herself to remain as stable as possible and conserve her energy. Hopefully the witch would be able to give her the potion quickly.

"Apology accepted." Katherine muttered quietly. The hiss in her voice remaining, Katherine bit her lip, before she looked over at the girl, in usual circumstances, Katherine would slap the girl for her rudeness, but, at the time being, she looked like she would actually drop on the floor like a defenseless rat. Katherine put the small bottle that was in her hand. She handed that over to the girl and muttered. "Here, take this." Katherine paused "Put some on your fingers and then apply it on the wound, It'll clear it up, and it has a few properties from plants, that should stop the bleeding, then, do what you will with the needle."
Katherine had an odd concern in her voice, blending in with the slight hiss, causing a rather, odd, tone of voice. She sat herself down and added "Just a little though young one, Tidy yourself up here, before you wander out into your unknown paths and time shortens down for you." Katherine pulled out a waterskin from underneat, and passed it onto the girl as well. "You'll need to wash your wound." She said quietly.

Terwynn gracefully took the healing potion the witch had given her. "This should cover it," she said immediately, tossing the bag of coins onto the table. She grabbed the needle and thread and quickly placed them inside her bag along with the potion. The fellow human's reaction to Terwynn's forceful character was not a rare one. However usually when people would see she was upset or needed instantaneous gratification, it was granted without question. This woman in particular didn't seem to care or was just one who didn't like to be ordered, like Terwynn.
She was about to head out and leave until Katherine suggested her to clean up in the shop. Seeing the waterskin, Terwynn sighed and grabbed it. "May I sit down somewhere?" she asked calmly. If the woman was so insistent, Terwynn wouldn't bother to argue. She would leave as soon as she finished stitching herself up. Rest was needed for the thief at the moment, and much of it.
Terwynn looked at her clothes. The blood from her side stained her shirt and trousers. They would need to be washed and her other set of clothes would be needed. The only problem was that the extra set she carried at all times was for a disguise in case of being followed. It was one of her tricks in escaping from tails. She looked to the witch and waited for her to respond. The bleeding was not stopping, the gash was too long and deep and her light-headedness was getting worse.

"Seat yourself where you like" Katherine called out to the air. She waved her hand from the seat opposite her, where she had first asked the girl to sit, and then near the footstep of the door and back. "Just heal yourself." Katherine couldn't help but let the urgency show in her voice, Katherine was getting slightly restless, she wasn't used to people coming into her shop, and healing themselves, it had happened before, but rarely. Though, usually people who came into the shop weren't hurt themselves, it was usually their relative or friend. Katherine sighed at the girl as she dropped coins on the desk.
Katherine pulled them in, unlocked the drawer using a key that hung around her wrist, Katherine dropped the coins in, before ran her hand through her wavy hair waiting for the girl to begin healing herself.

Terwynn nodded and gritted her teeth again. Closing her eyes, until the pain passed, she sat on the seat and leaned back. She immediately removed her hand and placed the waterskin above the wound. The dry and fresh blood absorbed, and now the leaves she placed within the wound were able to be seen. Terwynn pulled the leaves out, feeling another sting of pain. It was the only way to prevent from bleeding to death on the way to Tierm. She then grabbed her bag, and retrieved the needle and thread. The waterskin was heavy and able to apply minor pressure to the gash.
She cleaned her bloody hand on the surface of the waterskin and then put the thread into the eye of the needle. Tying a knot so the thread would remain in her skin, Terwynn removed the waterskin and placed the potion that Katherine gave her. She placed the amount recommended and then began to stitch up the wound. It was the least worry and was already able to perform the surgery perfectly, due to previous encounters with enemies.
After finishing, Terwynn sighed, and wiped her brow. She cleaned up the rest of the wound with the waterskin and then cleaned up her hands again. "Thank you," she said with her dominant voice. She began to stand up and take her items. She wouldn't bother the witch anymore, for she paid what was necessary, and now needed to clean herself up. A shower would do nicely at a waterfall outside the city. She could camp there and then head back the following morning for new supplies.

Katherine noticed the girl tend to herself, she did indeed know what she was doing. Kathey sighed, she bit her lip as she continued to look at the young girl. When the girl thanked Kathey, she was caught a bit off guard, it took her a moment or two to snap back to reality and respond. "Oh, it was nothing, this little store runs to help the injured and needy." Katherine shrugged lightly before noticing the girl gathering up her things, Katherine looked over at the girls face, she did look like she had been through quite a lot, from wherever she came.
Katherine bit her lip before asking politely. "Would you like to have a cup of tea before you leave?" Kathey just hoped her sudden snap to politeness wouldn't scare the girl, However angry Katherine may get, it took her less then a second to snap back to her original cheery self. "Your scars say you've traveled far, Im sure your stomach would be needing feeding." Katherine chuckled to herself, "needing feeding!" She mused to herself, "Amazing! It Rhymes!" Kathey rolled her eyes at herself before returning her attention back to the girl, "Pardon me young one, the smallest things amuse me," Her usual warm smile crept back on to her face, and the usual twinkle that made her eyes shimmer, returned as well. "... Ah yes, like I was saying - Some food may do you good," Katherine gave a single nod her hair bouncing along with her head.

She finished packing her things and nodded with a small smile to Katherine's reply. Yes it was indeed what an herbalist shop was for. Terwynn then brushed her hair back with her hand and thought about where to camp for the night. However Katherine's sudden change in attitude made Terwynn gain a quizzical brow. The woman is indeed odd she thought. Alas she is a woman of skill and is therefore useful. She shrugged off Katherine's humor and kept her small smile.
She wanted to leave and think on her own of who the man who stabbed her was. How could she have been so careless? Assuming he was unarmed... a man with more money than he knew he could deal with. She shook her head at the thought and promised herself to not be foolish again in the future.
The tea and food that Katherine offered sounded tempting. She was hungry and needed drink. She became dehydrated as she escaped from the man's guards and was bleeding to death towards Tierm. "That would do well thank you," she replied with a nod. Her smile became neutral and she placed her bag on the chair. She removed her sword belt and placed it on the side of the chair.

Katherine smiled at the girl, and then slowly got up, and moved into the backroom, returning a few minutes later with a tray in her hand, with two small cups of herbal tea, and a plate with a few biscuits that Katherine had made herself, and one small portion of chicken in another plate. Kathey had her usual cherry smile glued to her face as she put the tray down on the table in front of her and did a 'help yourself' gesture with her hand. She waited for a minute before she took a sip from her tea, a number of flavors flooding in her mouth. Katherine took another sip, before putting her cup down on the table in front of her.
"Now that we speak to one another, I believe I ought to know your name," Kathey paused as a slightly teasing twinkle entered her eyes. "I am fairly sure that you wouldn't appreciate me to continue calling you 'Young One'" Katherine let out a soft chuckle, letting her eyes move onto the girls face.

Terwynn nodded to the 'help yourself' gesture and took the tea from tray. She was dehydrated and needed drink immediately. Unfortunately, the tea was hot and she needed to take her time for the drink to cool down. Taking a polite sip, Terwynn then helped herself to the biscuits. She broke off a piece and placed it in her mouth. It was good, very good. "Thank you for your hospitality," she said neutrally. "I won't be long since I am taking up your time." In reality Terwynn was a bit uneasy with the witch. She seemed to be hot tempered or something of that nature for one second, and then flipped towards an optimistic attitude.
Katherine spoke and Terwynn's eyes widened. Young one? This woman looks not even older than I. "How old do you think I am?" she said with a small smile. "I can't even conclude that your years exceed mine." She ate another piece of the biscuit and a sip of tea.

Katherine couldn't help but laugh, "You Ignore my question dear, but I shall answer yours first if thats what you truly desire." Katherine paused. "Your features are sharp, your body is well built, but your eyes tell me you couldn't possibly be older than perhaps 19," Katherine continued to smile, "Ah, I shall take that in a good way." She said nodding at the girl as she commented on Katherine looking the same age as her, "My years don't exceed yours by far I can tell," There was a light pause, the air in the room seemed to be floating around rather freely, "If you are indeed around 19, I would only exceed your years by two," Katherine paused again, pausing in between sentences was like a habit. "But no offense meant young one, It is not because of years I call you so, It is... lets say... due to your immaturity," A small frown flashed on Katherine's face, "... No one with sense would go around getting stabbed. I mean no offense young one, but I'd tell you to be cautious." Katherine sighed.
"And, You aren't taking up my time, not at all." Katherine's smile widened again, "It's good to have a bit of company occasionally, and the company is someone similar to my age, not my mother, or animals..." Kathey rolled her eyes. "I appreciate it," she hesitated "That you decided to stay, I don't think that anyone would have, after my behavior..." Kathey paused, "... I'm not saying it was wrong... For I don't appreciate commands barked at myself, though that was what i was doing, but being in my profession, you have to do that, you must have order and control, or you can never heal anyone in time..." Kathey rolled her eyes, she realized she had just begun rambling on randomly, She sighed. "I apologize, I got carried away..." Katherine took another few sips of her tea, rolling her eyes at herself, she couldn't shut herself up... ever... which really wasn't a good thing.
